Most of the country is underinsured. This is a FACT.
Insurance is a choice. A choice of whether to protect your family and your lifestyle in the event of death, total and permanent disability, trauma, illness or injury.
Most people probably don’t think twice about insuring their car and home and contents as these products are designed to protect you from everyday risks. But often overlooked is the need to insure your most valuable assets – your health and your income.
The types of Insurance we can discuss with you include:
- Life Insurance – pays a lump sum payment on death or terminal illness to help support your dependents.
- Total Permanent Disability (TPD) – pays a lump sum to help support you if you are totally and permanently disabled as a result of illness or injury.
- Trauma insurance – pays a lump sum to help support you if you are diagnosed with a specified major medical condition (eg cancer, heart attack, stroke)
- Income Protection - covers you for 75% of your income if you are off work through illness or injury.
Many people say they can’t afford insurance – I argue they can’t afford NOT to have it. Your biggest asset is the ability to be able to earn an income.
A lot of insurance can be paid by your Super, so that it doesn’t come out of your weekly income.
At Bayside Financial Planning we understand that everyone’s needs are different and we can assist in finding an insurance cover to meet your needs and your budget.
If you are not currently covered by the above insurances, please call me to arrange a quote.
